TCP/IP SETTING MANUAL

Image
In this section, you are assumed have correctly identified the IP address for the OnlineLearning System Server. Therefore, you must produce a manual on how to configure the IP address on the server. You can use any operating system to demonstrate this task. The explanation should be supported with the screenshot and appropriate explanation The Server Configuration Guide provides an information on how to configure networking for the OnlineLearning System Server.  For the server specification: Operating System Windows 10 Processor AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X RAM 128 GB Video Card RX 6900 XT Motherboard Gigabyte Aorus Pro PSU Seasonic 1000W Prime TX-1000 Step 1  At the same moment, press the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Step 2 In the Run window, key in ncpa.cpl Step 3  Right-click on the Ethernet and choose Properties Step 4 Select Internet P

SUBNETTING CALCULATION

Image
In this section, you are expecting to show the calculation on how to identify the IP address that was assigned for the OnlineLearning System Server based on the information given in the project scenario. Explain the concept and show the calculation to identify the IP address. Referring back to the graphic, our group produce that the OUM network had several departments. The department based on the list below:  1.  Information Technology department 2.  Business and Management department 3.  Education and Social Sciences 4.  Applied Sciences 5. IT Centre 6.  Student Welfare 7.  Student Residential College 8.  OUM Cafeteria based on all 8 department above , we need 8 subnet to be user in the network. So,  to calculate the subnetting we can use the fixed-length subnet mask(FLSM). A fixed-length subnet mask (FLSM) is a sequence of numbers of unchanging length that streamlines packet routing within the subnets of a proprietary network. A subnet can be a geographically defined local area netwo

OSI MODEL

Image
what is OSI model : The Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model is a conceptual model created by the International Organization for Standardization which enables diverse communication systems to communicate using standard protocols. In plain English, the OSI provides a standard for different computer systems to be able to communicate with each other. Layer 7 (Application Layer) This is the last and the topmost layer of the OSI model. This layer provides an interface between application programs running in system and network. If any application needs to access any resource that is available in remote system, it interacts with this layer. Then this layer encompasses the protocols and services that the application will employ to access that resources. There are two types of application programs; network-aware and network-unaware. An application program is considered as network-aware when it can make any sort of network request. If an application program can’t make any kind of network re
